The gateway voice codec system for the Analog Devices ADSP-2187L/2188M/2189M family of DSPs is designed to meet or exceed the requirements for Voice Over DSL/Voice over ATM. This system supports multiple channels of up to 4 or 8 ports in the ADSP-2188M configured in an arbitrary mixture up to the available MIPS of each processor. Standard features include G.711, G.721/G.726, G.723.1/A, G.727, G.729A/B, G.165 Line Echo Canceller with an adjustable tail length of up to 32 msec, Caller ID Generation, DTMF/MF generation/detection, voice/fax/modem discrimination and echo cancellation disable(2100 Hz). The modulation layer of this software can provide a HDLC, V.14 or a direct binary framing layer. The higher data protocol layers includes, V.42 (including MNP2-4), V.42bis, V.44 and MNP 5.
